The president is in charge of creating and maintaing the direction of the organization. Using a combination of vision and the ability to bring that vision to pass, the president works with the Vice President and Executive Board to ensure that initiatives, programs, and events are going according to Tighter Grip's purpose. In the university as well as the community, the president acts as the spokesperson for Tighter Grip.

The role of the vice president is to help maintain organizational cohesiveness. The vice president also has to uphold the position of the president in the event of the president’s absence. The vice president should makes sure that they are well informed of organizational business and concerns. The vice president should have a flexible schedule and should be accessible to Tighter Grip members.

The role of the secretary is to keep track of member attendence. The secretary is also responsible for taking minutes at all meetings.

The treasurer is in charge of financial aspect of Tighter Grip. The treasurer ensures that money received and expended is budgeted properly. In addition, the treasurer is also responsible for seeking fundraisers and sponsorships.

The Director of Events is in charge of planning and organizing the events that are affiliated with Tighter Grip. The director of events works with the events committee to oversee and train members the process of event planning.

Director of Public Affairs
The director of public affairs is responsible for informing and enriching members through communication mediums. The director of public affairs is also responsible for maintaing current marketing mediums and researching new and effective marketing strategies to inform the community about Tighter Grip.

Maintains academic hand of Tighter Grip which includes, but is not limited to, study halls, "power hour" and any other academic initiatives, special guests/speakers. The Director of AP&A also keeps track of organization GPA and academic statistics. For advocacy, this director seeks opportunities for Tighter Grip to advocate on behalf of African-American males on a university, city, and national level. After locating these instances, they are brought to the executive board and general body in order to find a plan of action in creating change or bring light to that specific issue.

The Advisor works directly with the executive board to provide the best advice in leading the general body. He is also available to speak with general body members upon request.
