Tighter Grip hosts a variety of different programs throughout the year. From informative forums to hilarious game shows, it is Tighter Grip's aim to not only inform, but unite students at Georgia State University. A few "trademark" TG events are listed below. Tighter Grip Week
Each semester, Tighter Grip hosts a weeks-worth of events that include panel discussions, video/documentary presentations, informative sessions, game shows, dinners, community service initiatives, and much more. The week acts as a means to achieve all three parts of Tighter Grip's mantra to Recruit, Retain, and Enrich African-American males at Georgia State!

AACE Conference
The African- American Career Empowerment Conference is meant to give students the tools and knowledge they need to compete in an ever-changing job market. AACE consists of workshops varying from resume building to dressing for success and has presentations from well known presenters.

TG Dating Game
Similar to the game show, TG has contestants participate in its own take of a Dating Game. Three contestants answer questions asked by a single bachelor or bachelorette and try to win a date him or her. There are multiple rounds giving even more people a chance to find love! The winners go on great Valentine’s Day date!

TG TopLiner
TopLiner is Tighter Grip's annual talent show. An innovative and exciting show filled with variety of different acts and talents. By far, it is one of the biggest shows on GA State's campus each school year.

Induction Ceremony (Fall) / TG Awards (Spring) -As apart of Tighter Grip Week
The Induction Ceremony welcomes new members to Tighter Grip, as well as recognizes the success of present members with GPA achievements. 

The TG Awards is THE award show to trump all other award shows! The spotlight is on the TG members when we bring the best of TG to Georgia State in one night. TG members are acknowledged for their achievements and even awarded some fun superlatives voted on by the members. The night culminates with the presentation of the TG Shield which is given to Tighter Grip's MVM (most valuable member)!
